IX THE HERMIT.
Everyone around me
Tells me what to want
How they’ll help me get there
They all want their part
Why does fame and fortune
Have to be my goal?
Seems to be there could be
So much more
Here in solitude
I tune out other voices
And listen to my own voice
Strong and true
Here in solitude
I look at my real choices
And work out what I really
want to do
There’s so very much to sort
through
When the Empress told me
Music is my gift
Did I make it true by
believing it?
Then the Empress told me
Be true to myself
How am I to find out
what that means?
When my father left
My whole world came apart
I built up a fortress around
my heart
Walls meant to protect are
suffocating me
If no one gets in how will I be
free?
Here in solitude
I tune out other voices
And listen to my own voice
Strong and true
Here in solitude
I look at my real choices
And work out what I really
want to do
Can I find my way back to
you?
